RECONSTRUCTION OF TRANSIT ROAD STAGES IN THE TOWN OF STRENČI

During the course of reconstruction works on the section of Rigas Street from the Pulkveža Brieža Street junction to the bridge over the Strenčupīte and on the section of Valkas Street up to the junction of Slimnīcas Street, carriageway structures were built and a new asphalt surface was laid down in three layers, all street junctions and access roads to the city’s sites of public significance were rebuilt. In addition, the bridge over the Strenčupīte was rebuilt, a roundabout was built at the crossing of Valkas Street and Trikātas Street, the bus station car park was rebuilt, public transport stops were erected, and pedestrian pavements and cycle paths were built.

 

The reconstructed sections of transit roads in the town of Strenči was fitted with traffic organisation components: road and pedestrian metal safety barriers, road signs and horizontal markings. New street lighting was installed, including over pedestrian crossings, and underground communications infrastructure was rebuilt.
